The Israel Association for Theoretical Linguistics (IATL) was founded in 1985 to encourage research in theoretical linguistics in Israel. IATL members work in a variety of theoretical frameworks on all branches of linguistics (phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, computational linguistics, sociolinguistics, language acquisition, etc.).
The last conference, IATL 34, took place at Ben Gurion University on October 8-9, 2018. The next conference, IATL 35, will be take place at the Ra’anana campus of the Open University of Israel, October 23-24, 2019.
Since IATL 17 (2001), we have published the proceedings of our conferences on-line.
