The Israel Association for Theoretical Linguistics was founded in 1985 to encourage research in theoretical linguistics in Israel. IATL members work on all branches of linguistics (syntax, semantics, phonology, morphology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, etc.) in a variety of theoretical frameworks.

IATL hosts an annual conference. IATL 29 was held at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on the 6–7 October, 2013. IATL 30, was held at Ben Gurion University on 20–21 October, 2014.

Since IATL 17 (2001), we have published the proceedings of our conferences on-line.

The 30th Annual Meeting of the Israel Association for Theoretical Linguistics was held at Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheva, on October 20–21, 2014. More information is available on the following page.
