The Israel Association for Theoretical Linguistics was founded in 1985 to encourage research in theoretical linguistics in Israel. IATL members work on all branches of linguistics (syntax, semantics, phonology, morphology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, etc.) in a variety of theoretical frameworks.

IATL hosts an annual conference. IATL 30, was held at Ben Gurion University on 20–21 October, 2014. The next conference, IATL 31, will take place at Bar Ilan University on October 13–14, 2015.

Since IATL 17 (2001), we have published the proceedings of our conferences on-line.

The 31st IATL conference will take place October 13–14, 2015 at Bar Ilan University (see the program). Please register online if you plan to attend. More information is available here.
