The Israel Association for Theoretical Linguistics was founded in 1985 to encourage research in theoretical linguistics in Israel. IATL members work on all branches of linguistics (syntax, semantics, phonology, morphology, pragmatics, psycholinguistics, computational linguistics, etc.) in a variety of theoretical frameworks.

IATL hosts an annual conference. IATL 31, took place at Bar Ilan University on October 13–14, 2015. The next conference, IATL 32, will take place at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem on October 25-27, 2016.

Since IATL 17 (2001), we have published the proceedings of our conferences on-line.

The 31st IATL conference took place October 13–14, 2015 at Bar Ilan University (see the program). More information is available here.
